NEKO is a haven for rescue cats and humans to relax and enjoy each other’s company. You can come and lounge with the kitties in the cat room (be sure to book ahead!) or come by anytime to grab a drink in the cafe and watch the cats play in the windows!
Happy Cats are Our Number One Purriority
All our kitties are rescues from Regional Animal Services of King County. Nearly all our cats are adoptable, with the exception of purrmanent residents, who are content cafe cats that stay at NEKO as role models for our adoptable kitties!
Our Story
Caitlin & Cory fell in love with cat cafes during their years living abroad in Japan and Vietnam. They spent their free time visiting every cat cafe they could find. Their lifelong passion for animals, love of hosting, and a decade working in restaurants made a cafe full of cats the absolute dream. They returned to the U.S. on a mission to create a kitty-filled hangout spot folks didn’t know they needed. A place where you could bring your friends for Happy Hour and your niece on a Saturday morning, all while giving local shelter cats the loving sanctuary they deserve. After opening NEKO Seattle in 2017 and NEKO Bellingham in 2020, the dream is alive and purring.

Our online re-tail shop is a supurr fun extension of our IRL vibe! With merch inspired by our resident kitties, our unique space, our silly social media purrsona, and the wildly cool cat lovers we meet every day: NEKO’s Re-Tail is an ever-changing way for us to get cute things to cool people in-house and online!
