NEKO Pride, April 04 2017

Sometimes the best way to relax is to grab a good book. It's important to teach children to read at a young age and what better way to do that than with feline inspired children's books that still get a chuckle out of us even today. Here are five books abouts cats for every age from child to adult.

CAT IN THE HAT BY DR. SEUSS

Who doesn't love a classic by Dr. Seuss? It's not a crime to kick back a dime and spend a little time reading this sublime story by the rhyme master himself. Many of us remember learning to read using these books and even more will probably use them to teach their children how to read.

COOKIE'S WEEK BY CINDY WARD AND TOMIE DEPAOLA

Follow this michevious kitten named Cookie who just can't seem to control his curiousity as he experiences a week full of ins, outs, ups, and downs... literally! With this book's short sentences and small words, it's the perfect way to get your child more confident in their reading aloud or in general!

SOCKS BY BEVERLY CLEARY

As children begin to look for a more challenging read, try out a Beverly Cleary novel! From Junie B. Jones books to our favorite -Socks -there's something everyone can enjoy that's written by Cleary.

THE WARRIORS SERIES BY ERIN HUNTER

It's seems like this series will never end... and we don't think we really want it to. When our intern worked at the library, they never seemed to keep this series on the shelves!
