The best day of the year is almost upon us, and no we aren't talking about Halloween. Tomorrow is NATIONAL CAT DAY! We love any excuse to celebrate cats, so folks, it's time to party!
Here are 5 pawesome ways to celebrate this Caturday, October 29th.
1.) Be a Part of an Animal Food Drive
Seattle staple and record label Sub Pop Records, a sponsor of the Seattle Humane Society, is hosting a food drive to support pets in the Seattle community with the help of local radio station KEXP and 90s-grunge legends, Pearl Jam.
2.) Help Build a Shelter
Chicago’s Paws for Life Outreach organized a “National Feral Cat Day Shelter Build.” Community members are encouraged to come down to the PAWS Chicago Medical Center to assist in building approximately 100 shelter united for cats during the winter.
3.) Adopt a Cat for Free
Seattle Humane is waiving all adoption fees on adult cats to celebrate National Cat Day.
4.) Photo Contest
The National Cat Day organization is holding a ““Purr-fect Purr-sonalities” photo contest on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Winners will receive a feature on Blue Buffalo’s Facebook page, as well as an assortment of products.
